Tour de France 2018 stage 16 mountain passes: Col du Portillon
The Col du Portillon (Catalan: El coll de Portilló) (elevation 1,293 meters / 4,242 feet) is a mountain pass in the Pyrenees on the border between France and Spain. It connects Bagnères-de-Luchon in France with Bossòst in the Val d’Aran, Spain.
The climb was first featured in the Tour de France in 1957. The first rider over the summit was Désiré Keteleer (13 June 1920 – 17 September 1970), the Belgian cyclist.
