Astana Team’s Italian star Vincenzo Nibali has won the Italian national road title recently. The Kazakh team prepared for him a new jersey. And the “Shark” has a new bike – a dangerous-looking Specialized Tarmac.

Nibali’s new Specialized S-Works Tarmac is mainly black and white in color and has a shark figure with sharp teeth in the head tube. Campagnolo Super Record drivetrain, Corima Viva wheels, and FSA components are completing the kit.

Nibali also won the Italian national road championship title recently. It was his first win of 2014, but it couldn’t have come at a better time: just ahead of the upcoming Tour de France. It was the 29-year-old Italian’s first national title, and his first victory since winning the general classification of the Giro d’Italia in May 2013.

His Astana teammate Michele Scarponi did a really good job for Nibali in the Italian national road championships: he helped him wear down his rivals in the race, forced the selection, and Nibali was able to ride clear with Davide Formolo (Cannondale). Formolo hanged on stubbornly, but the experienced Shark won in the end.

The Kazakh team prepared a new Tricolore jersey (Italian national road champion’s jersey) for Nibali. Well, it seems a bit ugly to me. There’s no art, just a big Italian flag on the blue jersey of the Astana team.
