2013 Campagnolo Super Record EPS (EPS is the acronym of Electronic Power Shifting) is the admiral ship of the famous Italian groupset, wheelset, and bicycle parts manufacturer Campagnolo.

UCI WorldTour teams AG2R La Mondiale, Astana, Lotto-Belisol, Movistar Team and Vacansoleil-DCM are using Campagnolo Super Record EPS for 2013 season.

Colnago, another legendary Italian, has changed its EPS series road bike’s name to Campagnolo can use it (first Colnago EPS became EPQ, then CX-1 Evo).

Carbon-fiber and titanium are the materials of the groupset. Like mechanical versions of Campagnolo, the groupset has multiple shifting capability, means if you continue to push the buttons, the gears continue to change.

EPS levers are similar to the mechanical units in ergonomics, you use your thumbs to shift up. But electronic EPS is slightly better in this matter too, since the position of the push buttons are lower, and you don’t need to push hard to shift gears. Front shifting is possible while standing on the pedals, a feature that no mechanical system delivers.

The battery is mounted on the bottom of the down tube. This is a good position, because it keeps the center of the gravity low, and hides the battery from eyes of the rider (a cleaner view).
