A beautiful classic road bike: Eddy Merckx 10th Anniversary.

In the late 1980s and early 1990s, the Eddy Merckx bicycles were some of the best road bike frames and therefore the choice of many professional teams. It dominated the peloton with its extremely well-made triangle of light and rigid Columbus SLX or TSX tubes.

Columbus’ new TBX tubing brazed in Eddy’s Century Geometry gives the 10th Anniversary bicycle its incomparable ride. Special 10th Anniversary graphics set this limited production bicycle apart. Each frame is numbered and accompanied by a special Giordana LI-TECH short sleeve jersey available only with the purchase of an Eddy Merckx 10th Anniversary frame.”

Eddy Merckx Team 7-Eleven Road Bike 1990

In the late 1980s, an American team has started to shine in the European cycling scene: the 7-Eleven Cycling Team.

Founded by Jim Ochowicz, a former U.S. Olympic cyclist, in 1981, The 7-Eleven team (then went under the name of Motorola) raced on Eddy Merckx bikes from 1989 to 1996 7-Eleven.
