Greg Van Avermaet, BMC Racing Team’s Belgian rider won 115th edition of the Paris–Roubaix with a record average speed of 45.129 kph (28.042 mph). Avermaet broke Peter Post’s record of 45.204 kph (28.088 mph) which set in 1964.

BMC Racing Team’s Australian rider Rohan Dennis sets the new hour record with 52.491 kilometers (32.616 mi), beating Matthias Brändle’s record by over 600 meters, at the Velodrome Suisse in Grenchen, Switzerland. Dennis used 56×14 gear ratio while breaking the record. The previous record was 51.852 km (32.22 mi).
