HERO summer 2020: the HERO spirit is back

Get ready for a summer-worthy of HEROes: make the most of the HERO SUMMER 2020 offer running between 16 July and 13 September. Three nights for all cyclists who want to pedal on tracks of the toughest mountain bike marathon in the world. Bikers can also request the services of expert Mountain Bike Guides or rent a top-notch Specialized bike. A unique occasion to experience the HERO atmosphere from a different angle: revel in amazing days surrounded by nature and explore your MTB passion to the fullest in the run-up of the 2021 edition of the HERO.

Among true cycling fans, the start of summer was the prelude to great days out on their bike: not being able to hop onto their saddle for so long hit them hard. Now, after weeks of lockdown and long hours on the rollers, every biker has finally taken a sigh of relief as they are doing what they love outdoors. The perfect ingredients to dream up new goals and one which stands out from the rest is the HERO Südtirol Dolomites, which has been postponed to June 2021.

Live the spirit of the toughest mountain bike marathon in the world, or simply blow away the cobwebs and get back to having fun by exploring the stunning paths before the Dolomites: sign up for an unmissable event running between 16 July and 13 September where all off-road cycling fans can take part in the HERO SUMMER 2020.

The offer includes three nights (check-in on Thursday night), and the excursion will take place on Friday and Saturday to then return home on Sunday. The HERO SUMMER 2020 includes the possibility of taking part in individual excursions on the HERO Südtirol Dolomites racecourses: the ‘short’ 60 kilometers track with 3,200 m elevation gain and the ‘long’ 86 km option boasting 4,500 meters elevation gain.

Participants can request the services of an expert Mountain Bike Guide who will accompany bikers in predetermined small groups to comply with safety measures. Gerhard Vanzi, the head of the HERO Südtirol Dolomites Organising Committee, says, ‘A guide can show bikers pockets of nature and trails off the beaten track across the region as well as imparting useful techniques and race strategies.’

The HERO SUMMER 2020 tour will kick off from Selva Val Gardena, and bikers can stay in one of the specialized Bike Hotels in the stunning Alpine village of Arabba. The village is located right at the center of the Sella Group circuit. The HERO SUMMER 2020 also includes luggage transport from the Selva hotel to Arabba and back, respectively on Friday and Saturday afternoon. Bikers will not have to worry about a thing and will find their luggage in their hotel in Val Gardena.

Simply head to the HERO Südtirol Dolomites website, fill out the form, and get ready to make the most of this offer and choose your Bike Hotel, the optional MTB guide, and the rental of a Specialized bike.

Everything will be managed and organized in compliance with the hygiene and sanitary rules approved by the Italian Government to protect the safety of all participants.
