Once again this year, Selle Italia will be alongside Maratona dles Dolomites-Enel: the Treviso-based company is ready at the starting line of one of the most loved and popular marathons, to celebrate 32 years of collaboration.
There will be over 9,000 cyclists ready to race through the 7 passes that are the very symbol of the Dolomites, distributed along the three routes: Campolongo, Sella, Gardena, Pordoi, Giau, Falzarego, and Valparola. Roads that have written the history of cycling and will continue to give the participants of the Marathon route unique emotions, with its 138 kilometers and 4,230 meters of difference in altitude, just as incredible emotions are ensured to whoever decides to take the medium or short route.
At the starting lines of the Maratona dles Dolomites-Enel 2021, which will be held on 4 July in Alta Badia, also this year is Selle Italia. A collaboration that is a source of great pride for Giuseppe Bigolin, who heads the company: “Our collaboration with the Maratona dles Dolomites-Enel began two years after its birth, and from that moment on, we have always supported this race because we share the same values and the passion for the bicycle” says the President of the Treviso-based company. “A partnership lasting over thirty years that makes us proud and allows us, every year, to come into contact with the vast international public that pedals through the Dolomites to take part in the marathon.”
Among the company’s proposals, standing out in this edition is the Model-X Green Superflow, the first saddle born from the Green-Tech production process: an automated system, developed entirely in Italy and unique in the world, which makes it possible to obtain high-range saddles without the use of glues and polyurethanes, substances with notoriously negative environmental impact.
The saddle assembles its three components mechanically and without the use of pollutant additive substances: to make it, in fact, Flex Control technology has been used. It is comprised of a special body made up of two elements with different flexibility able to ensure greater comfort and much higher resistance compared to products of the same range on the market. The third component is the rail in Fec Alloy, a highly resistant and flexible iron-carbon steel alloy.
