The UCI Road World Championships are the annual world championships for bicycle road racing organized by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI). The first professional world championship took place on July 1927 at the Nürburgring in Germany, where legendary Italian Alfredo Binda won the professional men’s race.
Today it was the last stage (Istanbul-Istanbul) of Presidential Tour of Turkey 2014, the 50th edition of the race. I went to watch the stage.
Stage 14 of Giro d’Italia 2013 edition is a High Mountain stage with summit finish, between Cervere and Bardonecchia (Jafferau). The length of the course is 168 kilometers. The route contains famous Sestriere climb.
