Cannondale launches New SuperSix EVO Hi-MOD and CAAD12

American bicycle manufacturer Cannondale has revealed its new models: New SuperSix EVO Hi-MOD and the new generation of the aluminum CAAD (Cannondale advanced aluminum design) series: CAAD12. Cannondale has skipped the number 11 after CAAD10 and give the new bike the number 12. They went with 12 because they felt it was too big a leap in performance to call it an 11.

Sarto Seta: North American Handmade Bicycle Show “Best Campagnolo build” winner

Italian custom bicycle frame manufacturer Sarto’s 2015 model frame Sarto Seta is “The Best Campagnolo Build” winner at the North American Handmade Bicycle Show.

Weighing only 700 grams, the Seta road frame is the latest and most advanced frame Sarto has ever produced. That weight puts the frame in right up there with Cannondale SuperSix Evo and Cervelo R5, two of the lightest frames on the market available for purchase. The Seta features brand new tube designs, starting from the flat shape of the top tube to the ultra-thin chainstays.

Eddy70 (Limited Edition) by Eddy Merckx Cycles

The legendary Eddy Merckx is turning 70 years old this year, on June 17, 2015. To celebrate, the bike brand that bears his name, the Eddy Merckx Cycles is producing a limited edition, modern, high-quality stainless steel racing bike: Eddy70. There will be only 70 examples produced, and the first specimen (No 1) has already been reserved for Eddy Merckx himself. The other 69 bikes will be available from September at a selection of bike stores.

The frames of the new bike will be TiG-welded, painted, and polished in-house at the Eddy Merck Cycles factory in Zellik. Since Eddy Merckx has always been the most prominent ambassador for Campagnolo, the famous Italian brand has agreed for the first time to customize the components used in this limited-edition bike.

Sarto Frames 2015

Sarto is an Italian custom bicycle frame manufacturer. The company was founded by Antonio Sarto in 1950. Since then, they’re producing handmade custom bicycle frames.

Sarto produces more than 2,500 frames each year. The Italian bicycle manufacturer sees the customization as their strength, which allows them to satisfy the customer’s every need: the choice of materials, the shape of the tubes, made-to-measure geometries, graphics and reinforcements in Kevlar or titanium/carbon. Every feature of a Sarto frame can be changed and selected by the customer.

F.I.V. Edoardo Bianchi S.p.A is the world’s oldest bicycle-making company still in existence It was founded in Italy in 1885. It produced cars and commercial vehicles from 1900 to 1939 as Autobianchi, though that business was sold to Fiat; and motorcycles from 1897 to 1967. Bianchi has been associated for 50 years with the legendary Italian cyclist, “Il campionissimo” (champion of champions), Fausto Coppi.

Since May 1997 F.I.V. Edoardo Bianchi is part of Cycleurope A.B. group, the Swedish company of the Grimaldi group.

FSA launches limited edition “Shark” components to honor Nibali’s Tour de France 2014 victory

High-quality bicycle components producer FSA (Full Speed Ahead) launched a new limited edition series of handlebars, stems and seatposts to honor Vincenzo Nibali’s Tour de France 2014 victory. Only 300 pieces will be made, and all items labeled with the Shark logo, referencing the 29-year-old Italian rider’s nickname (“the Shark of Messina” or simply “The Shark”).

Specialized Tarmac 2015

Tarmac is the top-of-the-line model of Specialized’s road bike series. Specialized Tarmac 2015 is developed in a partnership with the British Formula One constructor McLaren.

Most recently, team Saxo Tinkoff’s Spanish rider Alberto Contador won the Vuelta a España 2014 using a Specialized S-Works Tarmac bike.

Bottecchia 2015 road bike series

Italian bike manufacturer Bottecchia has revealed its 2015 model road bikes. This year there are eight different road bike models.

Bottecchia was founded by Ottavio Bottecchia in 1924 (1 August 1894 – 14 June 1927), the first Italian to win the Tour de France (1924, 1925). He was the first Italian who won the French grand tour and the first cyclist who wore the yellow jersey from the first to the final stage.

Headquartered in Cavarzere, Italy, Bottecchia Cicli S.r.l. offer about 70 models that include road, mountain, trekking, city, BMX, folding, cyclo-cross, and electric. Some high-end frames are produced in Italy, the rest in Asia and all the bikes are assembled in Italy.
