The Swiss company SCOTT Sports SA has unveiled its 2014 model mountain bikes. There are 10 main series of Scott mountain bikes: Spark 900, Spark 700, Scale 900, Scale 700, Genius 900, Genius 700, Aspect 900, Aspect 700, Aspect 600, and Genius LT.

Mirador de Ézaro: even pro cyclists climb on foot

The peloton has climbed 1.9 km long and up to 29% (according to exact measurements) steep Mirador de Ézaro along the way at Vuelta a España 2013 stage 4. Some of the riders have dismounted and climbed on foot.

Canyon’s first 2014 models

Before the start of the Eurobike, German bicycle producer Canyon has unveiled its first 2014 models. They are all available to order now and the company says that the first bikes will be ready for delivery from September onward.

Cannondale Synapse 2014 – an impressive endurance bike

Cannondale Synapse 2014 – the American bike manufacturer has revealed some of its endurance road bike (Synapse) series’ 2014 models. There are two men’s bike (Synapse Hi-Mod Black Inc and Synapse Hi-Mod Athena) and three women’s bike models (Synapse Hi-Mod Women’s 2 RED, Synapse Hi-Mod Women’s Ultegra Di2 and Synapse Hi-Mod Women’s 3 Ultegra).

Euskaltel-Euskadi closing its doors

End of an era. Euskaltel-Euskadi is set to close its doors at the end of the 2013 season, after failing to secure sufficient sponsorship funds to continue. Spain’s financial crisis ends the Basque team’s 19-year association with top-flight cycling. The riders and team staff were now told that they must look elsewhere.

Bottecchia 2014 road bike series: the new collection of the Italian bike manufacturer Bottecchia is quite impressive.

Bottecchia Cicli S.r.l. is a bicycle manufacturing company headquartered in Cavarzere, Italy. They offer a lot of models that include road, mountain, trekking, city, BMX, folding, cyclo-cross, and electric. Some high-end frames are produced in Italy, the rest in Asia and all the bikes are assembled in Italy. They have distribution in Europe, Australia, and Japan. They are the technical sponsor of the Acqua & Sapone professional Italian team, which rode the Giro d’Italia on Bottecchia SP9s in 2010 and on Bottecchia Emme 2s in 2011.
