Giro dItalia is an annual multiple-stage bicycle race held in Italy. Giro d’Italia is part of the UCI World Tours and makes up the three-week-long Grand Tours, sitting alongside the prestigious Tour de France and Vuelta a España.
The Giro d’Italia 2014, the 97th edition of the Italian Grand Tour, will be held on from May 9th, Friday to June 1st, Sunday. It will start in Belfast and will arrive in Trieste.
There will be a total of 21 stages, as usual: 8 flat stages, 5 medium mountain stages, 5 high mountain stages, 1 team time-trial stage, and 2 individual time-trial stages (one of them will be an uphill time trial).
