La Vuelta de Espana plays out between October 20th and November 8th 2020. Santini Cycling Wear and the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) are pleased to announce that they have signed a partnership agreement for another four-year period (2021-2024). The announcement comes during the 2020 UCI Road World Championships in Imola, Italy. From 2021 onwards, the partnership will see the introduction of the new ecological UCI World Champion jersey for all disciplines made exclusively of sustainable fabrics and delivered in compostable packaging. Additionally, Santini becomes the Official Provider of UCI merchandising. The two partners will release two separate merchandising lines including a series of products and accessories featuring the UCI logo and the rainbow stripes, the symbol of the UCI World Championships.

Elite sports events are still largely closed to the world – but July 2020 has still been an unprecedented month for the global sporting calendar thanks to the world’s first Virtual Tour de France, which – despite the name – was based nowhere in particular, as riders took part from their homes in all parts of the world.
The virtual version of the Granfondo Stelvio Santini took place on the indoor cycling platform ROUVY on last Sunday with Wolfgang A. Pappler and Laura Arango emerging as overall winners in the Stelvio time trial.
The top six ranked cyclists – three men and three women – will all receive a Santini Cycling Wear kit while the two winners will also receive free entry to the 2021 Granfondo Stelvio Santini.
The final climb in the Granfondo Stelvio Santini is coming to ROUVY: the famous indoor cycling platform will be allowing all cycling fans to tackle the Stelvio Pass climb on June 7, the day the Valtellina Granfondo should have taken place. The top three men and the top three women finishers will receive prizes of Santini Cycling Wear technical clothes, while the fastest man and fastest woman will also get two free entries each to the 2021 Granfondo Stelvio Santini.
The 2020 edition of the toughest mountain bike race in the world has been canceled. It would have taken place on 20 June on the Sella Group. The BMW HERO Südtirol Dolomites will now take place next year and also represent the final stage of the HERO World Series 2021.

Athletes that purchased bibs for the cycling event can, however, use them for the 2021 edition.
