Selle Italia launches Flite Boost kit Carbonio Superflow “MVDP edition”: a unique saddle signed by Mathieu van der Poel, the rising Dutch star of professional cycling.
The relationship between Selle Italia and Mathieu Van der Poel, Alpecin-Fenix team champion, is strengthened through an active partnership: on the eve of the Tour of Flanders, the Italian company launches an exclusive saddle designed together with the Dutch champion.
On the occasion of the 105th edition of the Ronde Van Vlaanderen (Tour of Flanders), the race that saw Mathieu Van der Poel add his name to the last edition’s roll of honor, Selle Italia launches a saddle developed directly with the young Dutch talent.
“This collaboration helps further consolidate the personal and professional ties between our company and Mathieu,” stated Giuseppe Bigolin, Chairman of Selle Italia. “The opportunity to collaborate with athletes of his caliber is a source of great inspiration and pride for us. Selle Italia’s racing DNA has forever allowed the development of innovative, cutting-edge products and ensured the best possible support for the great champions of this sport”.
A relationship that began five years ago, that between the Italian company and Mathieu Van der Poel (Alpecin Fenix), and which is set to become even more intense during 2021, enriched by an important element: the development of a Mathieu Van der Poel “branded” version of Flite Boost, that is, with a dedicated logo and graphics.
The Flite Boost is Mathieu Van der Poel’s choice for both his cyclocross and road bike: a model featuring a short and compact shape, particularly aerodynamic and comfortable, now part of the thirty-year history of the Flite collection by Selle Italia, and which has accompanied the athlete during his numerous endeavours and victories, most recently in the Strada Bianche 2021.
To celebrate its collaboration with the Dutch athlete, Selle Italia has created a Flite Boost specifically dedicated to him, featuring a design resulting from a direct alliance between Mathieu and the company’s style center: a collector’s model developed in white, just like the Flite Boost Mathieu normally uses when racing, with a square logo and the lettering MVDP – the champion’s trademark – applied to the saddle and created “ad hoc” for the athlete.
It’s a Flite Boost with Carbon rail (+10mm) featuring special packaging, displaying Mathieu Van der Poel’s cycling history and successes, and all the technical details of this unique collector’s model.
