First held on 23 May 1891, The Bordeaux-Paris was one of Europe’s Classic cycle races, and one of the longest in the professional calendar, covering approximately 560 km (350 mi) – more than twice the most modern single-day races.
The 2014 USA Pro Challenge will take place between August 18-24, and it will be Jens Voigt‘s farewell tour. His team’s sponsors Trek and Bontrager gave him a bike, a new helmet, and a new pair of shoes – all are chrome-colored!
Every cycling fan has special memories of Jens Voigt, whether it’s his crazy solo escapades or selfless work for teammates on the front, Jens is one of a kind. He is known for his propensity to attack, and for his positive racing attitude.
He is capable of repeated attacking, holding a high tempo, and breaking away from the peloton. He has worn the yellow jersey of the Tour de France twice, though he has never challenged for the overall title due to his lack of ability in the mountains. In cycling folklore, he is considered one of the best rouleur riders to this day.
Greg LeMond introduced a new bicycle, this time a steel beauty: Greg LeMond Washoe. The frame of the new bike has been made of Reynolds 853 steel tubes. It is coming with only Shimano drivetrain with four different builds (105, Ultegra, Ultegra Di2, Dura-Ace Di2) for now, but Campagnolo versions will be available in late 2014.

In June 2014, Campagnolo has revealed entirely new Super Record, Record and Chorus mechanical groupsets. The new (2015) groupsets get the same redesigned four-arm crankset, Ergopower levers and front and rear derailleurs.

New LOOK 795 Aerolight
Look Cycle, the French bicycle manufacturer has launched its new aero model – the new LOOK 795 Aerolight, the next generation of LOOK aero road bikes after 695 Aerolight.
Eddy Merckx Bicycles revealed two new road bike models named Mourenx 69 and San Remo 76. Both bikes take engineering and aesthetic cues from last year’s EMX 525, but with lower modulus carbons and cheaper drivetrain and components.
The Swiss company SCOTT Sports SA reveals its 2015 models. The “Scott Foil” is the admiral ship of their road bike series.
American bicycle manufacturer Felt has announced some of its 2015 model bikes under the label of “Early Release”. There are four road bike series (for the US only) labeled under the Felt Early Release 2015 series: The aero AR Series, the F series (performance), the Z series (endurance) and the ZW (woman endurance) series.
