Cannondale Synapse is one of Cannondale’s best-selling models, first introduced in 2007. It offers silky-smooth performance that’s a perfect fit for everyday cyclists, century riders, and any other cyclist willing to sacrifice some top-end speed for a smoother ride.
There are two Synapse models available: Carbon and Alloy. Alloy is, of course, the cheaper alternative. And the best option for those wanting to ride a road bike and doing it with a comfortable fashion, with the lowest price.

As mentioned above, it is a bike for everyday cyclists, century riders, daily commuters, etc. As Cannondale said, “Synapse Alloy is built for enjoying the miles, at whichever pace you choose.”. If you’re planning to race, joining local criteriums or other types of road races, I would recommend you to go for a CAAD10 or its cheaper alternative, CAAD8.
UCI World Tour team Liquigas-Cannondale (will go under the name of Cannondale Pro Cycling Team from the beginning of the 2013 season) use the carbon version of the Synapse bikes in the “Queen of the Classics”, Paris-Roubaix. They use Synapse bikes only in Paris-Roubaix, they use SuperSix Evo in other races. Check out Tour de France 2013 green jersey winner Peter Sagan’s “Tourminator“.
