Colnago Concept

Colnago, the legendary Italian bike manufacturer has announced its first proper aero bike, named “Colnago Concept”. The new bike’s motto is “the combination of pure power and speed”.

The frame took its last shape via a series of wind tunnel tests: Ernesto Colnago worked through 41 variations of the Concept frameset, to find the best aero version. The frame weight (claimed, without paint) is 990 grams, and the fork is 400 grams. Like the Colnago V1-r, the framesets are manufactured in Taiwan and finished in Italy.

Fabian Cancellara's Tour de France 2016 special Trek Madone — In his final year, Fabian Cancellara got a special-edition Trek Madone for his last Tour de France. The bike is specially painted for him, and it celebrates the Spartacus' entire career. On the down tube, his nickname "Spartacus" takes place instead of the Trek label. On the top tube of the bike, his entire achievements are summarized: earning the nickname "Spartacus", 100+ professional podiums (including 7 individual stages at the Tour de France - 2004, twice in 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2012), "King of the classics", gold medal olympian, and gold medal at the UCI Road World championships. Italian bike manufacturer Wilier Triestina celebrates its 110th year with a special edition of Zero.6. The bike’s frame has a claimed weight of 680 grams. Only 200 bikes will be produced.

The bike is equipped with Campagnolo Super Record EPS 11-speed drivetrain, Campagnolo Shamal Mille wheelset, Ritchey Superlogic components, Selle Italia SLR Nabuk saddle, and Vittoria Open CX 700×23 tires.

Pinarello Dogma F8 2016 Team Sky edition: Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 drivetrain, Dura-Ace wheels, PRO and Elite components. Team Sky's predominantly black and blue colourscheme is retained from this season, but with the addition of white stripes on the fork blades and seat tube.

Team Sky’s new Pinarello Dogma F8 team bike has been revealed. The bike is unchanged from the Tour de France winning 2015 model, but it has new graphics and colors. The components (Shimano Di2 drivetrain, other parts -Fi’zi:k and PRO-) remain the same. And there’s a special bike named “Froomey”, honoring Chris Froome’s Tour de France 2015 victory.

New Pinarello Dogma F8W 2016 Wireless. F8W is the fruit of teamwork between Pinarello LAB, TEAM SKY and the British multinational car manufacturer JAGUAR (owned by the Indian company Tata Motors since 2008). Team SKY brought feedback from its athletes while Jaguar contributing to Aerodynamics concerns CFD and Wind Tunnel testing. Pinarello LAB for did the cycling part, structural study, and design. This synergy brought to light the Dogma F8.

Italian bicycle manufacturer Pinarello announced its latest Dogma series: Pinarello Dogma F8W 2016 – “W” stands for wireless! The bike is equipped with SRAM’s new RED eTAP wireless electronic groupset and will be available in limited numbers from January 2016.

W. Ritchie, Balloon Tyres (1924) — Many people think fat-tire bike is a new invention, but it's not. W. Ritchie, a track rider was the first who built a bicycle fitted with balloon tires many years ago. The photo above is from November 1924 issue of the magazine "Cycling".

In recent years, fat tire bikes are getting quite popular. Before 2006, They were made only by custom frame-builders who liked to pedal in the snow (or sand, like beaches). Then, in 2006, a Minnesota-based bike manufacturer, Surly Bikes, mass-produced the first notable bike in the “fat” genre with its Pugsley frame. They still build a lot of fat-tire bicycle models.

My new Cannondale CAAD10 2015 with Schwalbe Lugano 700x25c tires.

I bought a Cannondale CAAD10 (2015) the last April, and it was equipped with Schwalbe Lugano 700x25c clincher road tires. After a few months on their pair, I decided to write a review.

First of all, they are cheap training tires. It is the entry-level road tire of the German tire manufacturer.
