The ongoing pandemic has forced the organizers of the Granfondo Stelvio Santini to reschedule the 2021 edition until Sunday, September 12th. Santini Cycling Wear and organizers Unione Sportiva Bormiese took the decision to postpone the event for three months to guarantee a safer environment for cyclists and volunteers alike.

Selle Italia launches a saddle inspired by and dedicated to Mathieu Van Der Poel’s victory at the Tour of Flanders: a collectible Flite Boost available in a limited production run of 104 pieces, equal to the number of Ronde Van Vlaanderen editions held as of 2020. From November 30 to June 6 next, the Rouvy indoor cycling app is hosting the Santini Stelvio Challenge, a virtual event spanning all three of the Granfondo’s climbs. Special badges for all finishers plus the chance to win real Santini prizes!
The official 2021 Granfondo Stelvio Santini jersey is a combination of Polartec Power Dry Recycled and Polartec Delta Recycled fabrics, both made from single-use PET bottles. In fact, it takes around five recycled plastic bottles to make each jersey. The latter will be available in different sizes and colors for men and women and wrapped in compostable packaging. To complete the look, Santini Cycling Wear has also created a range of coordinating cycling wear and a face mask (free in the race pack) featuring the 2021 edition graphic.
October 28th marks the start of the race to snap up a bib for the 2021 edition of the Granfondo Stelvio Santini: between then and the end of the year, 1,500 bibs will be available at a special early bird price of just 70 euro. From January 1st, 2021 to the close of entries, it will cost 90 euro to secure your place.
Once again next year, all competitors must wear the official Santini jersey included in the race pack, throughout the event. The same three race routes, all with finish lines at the top of the Stelvio Pass, also return.
The Granfondo Stelvio Santini ROUVY challenge opens in November: anyone that completes all three virtual climbs on the famous indoor cycling platform wins a Finisher badge.
